Gift for my uncle Roy

It's done!
A surprise gift for my Uncle Roy in Canada- a little thankyou for all the support he and my Aunty have been giving me throughout my latest family saga with my Dad.
I had promised AGES ago to copy some photo's for him of his grandfather, but time and tide had passed and it just never seemed to happen- so many many photo's to sort and scan it was a bit overwhelming.
Feeling very guilty after all his help, I made this for him.
So I think he'll get an all mighty surprise when he gets his long awaited for pictures as well as this 8x8 inch paper bag album!!
12 pages all based on the black and white photos'  of his Mum- my grandma
'Marjorie Jeannie Sells'
there's a few hidden spaces under the flaps for any photo's he may have , as well as a space on the back. I stamped journalling blocks and have left them blank for him to write in any details he wishes.
The pages were really intricate to do-
first i layed out the photo's- marked their positions with a pencil line, then stamped a silver large pattern that i faded off in the background. I wanted a hard  ink/ pattern line to cut through the bottom quarter of the picture so it tied the image down to the page.
then careful inking of a black floral image to peek out from under the double matted photo's.
I then softened the hardness of the black ink with a touch of crystallina kindy glitz and a sprinkle of silver rhinestones.
I also added a few rub ons throughout as titles and flourishes which I thought classed up the pages a bit.
The open ends of the bags contain copies of birth, marriage and death certificates, and he can add anything else he wants to as well.
Cant wait to pop it in the post and hear what he has to say- (sorry MUM cant wait!!!)

Alice in wonderland 8x8 album

3 weeks later and it's finally finished!
This was a massive job- definately a one off!
The front cover has been left blank coz I will personalize the title for a lucky buyer.
Every page is chock a block full of details from tiny envelopes with weeny tags, quotes from Alice in wonderland- pictures, journaling spaces, lots of fold out flaps .
The playing cards I scanned in photoshop-reduced their size turned to greyscale and then bitmapped them for that chunky black and white feel.
I hand stamped and glitter embossed journaling panels and title boxes.
Lots of glossy accented highlights throughout as well as a touch of kindy glitz.
All embellishments have been hand made- the photo matts have all been embossed and double matted.
The embellishments arnt fixed over the photo matts- so photo’s can easily slide underneath!
They will fit a 4x6 photo comfortably with a little extra showing around the side.
I have used my cuttlebug so much i think I've worn it out!!!LOL
Time to maybe upgrade to a BIGSHOT??

New papers 12x12 layouts- grandma sells

last week I was VERY bad and yes I know I KNOW i said i wouldn't get any more papers!
BUT i needed bazzill card stock and couldn't resist the new websters pages papers and prima stamps and bubble accessories.
So to give my tuesday girls some ideas of how to use these papers i came up with the idea of sample layouts and a co-ordinated display board.
The first picture is of my Grandma Sells- I saw a monochromatic layout in the editor summary in the latest Scrapbooking memories magazine, and scrap lifted it from there.
Instead of laces and rub ons i used stamps in grey, silver and black ink.
Then a few rub ons kaisercraft butterflies which i glossy accented and a sprinkle of rhinestones.
I added a piece of chunky silver and white braid and also glossy accented and kindy glitzed the stamped flowers sparingly.
The second layout was using websters pages papers
prima bubble 3d embellishment
prima rub ons
a bit of stamping onto bazzill and distressing
then a bit of glossy accenting and a lovely old patterned paper too.

Something for the boys- altered dragon canvas

here's something for the boys!
well actually I have a feeling that a girl will probably buy this- as they seem to like dragons and skull stuff just as much these days- if not MORE!

I have had a bit of fun with
some lovely double sided gold stitched braid, for that 'medieval' look
DCWV once upon a time dragon paper
12x12 inch box canvas
black jo sonjas paint to prime the canvas
and 3 resin dragons which i brushed with gold jo sonja's paint and added some of their opal glitter as well.
The ornate corner pieces were chipboard flourishes from 2crafty which i embossed with gold glitter embossing powder.
I thought the chunky rhinestones looked perfect for this look- i've had them for ages with not a clue to do with them and voila!

1.5 meters of sequinned 'belly dancing' trim
1 meter of satin trimmed organza ribbon
half a meter of satin ribbon
2  resin fairies
DCWV unicorn glittered paper matted in purple bazzill cardstock
opal jo sonjas glitter paint
mirror piece's
misc embellishments - metal butterflies and dragonflys
rhinestones and wish stones
and MASSES of silk and paper flowers/leaves

Hanging 6x6 atinch canvas's

These are the first of my new stock that I'm preparing for Bunbury Cathedral grammar school monster craft fair in October this year.
I have previously had 2 stalls there-
one for scrapbooking paperbag albums flirty purses, cards and  scrap kits
the other my fairies dragons and unicorn goodies.
This year thought I'd integrate them all together minus the paper bag albums and purses.
As these get handled too much at fairs and markets- I'd much rather save them for online.
A new line in affirmations, blessings and gratitude handmade unique items.
If the weathers nice this weekend- they may even make it out to the railway markets, for a bit of a 'test run'.
here's my plug for the day!!- dont forget if you'd like any custom made canvas's like these- drop me a line.
fairy blessings
