Memorial album #2 is finished-

This format is 8x8 inches and also has 12 pages- well actually a bit more because I added extra flaps and flip out bits!

Not so flowery this one as its more of a masculine album.

Embossed photo matts are large to fit most size photos- they will look lovely peeking behind precious photo’s

There are a couple of folder pockets for memorabilia as well as the open ends of the bags for cards certificates etc. I have added an extra8 acid free note cards with ruled lines for journaling.

On the inside first page I have added an acrylic flap- which a special photo will look so lovely beneath it!

It reads

Custom made paper bag album

6x6.5 inch black paper bag album for Dannielle.
I’ve used matt gold metallic paper along with an ivory pearl cardstock.
There’s a hint of patterned paper also throughout the album- some have a tiny bit of high finish gold foiling.
The cover is my favourite bit as it is a flocked raised velvet pattern- I’ve left it blank because I thought you could cut out a photo and pop it on the cover. ( your photo will slip under the organza ribbon!)
There’s 12 pages in all with some lift up flaps for extra space along with a fold out page.
One handmade pocket for little memorabilia too.
The bit I’m happiest with is that I’ve left loads of room for photos but been a bit tricky by actually making a pocket UNDER the photo area-neat!
Hand embossed damask in both negative and positive positions give the papers some really textural depth.

Australia day 2012 baking in burekup

This year on one if the hottest days of the year I baked in burekup!
4 Continuous days over 40 degree heat I must of been crazy.
But the spirit of the day and the beautiful people of a tiny town made it worth while.
To be honest if I was looking at it from a financial point of view I wouldn't go but it's the soul of the place I love !
looking forward to next year :)

Petticoat lane prep work

Every year the festival of busselton has an afternoon evening market called petticoat lane with over 150 stalls it's massive.
So time to choose from my van what to take for the night - hard to get all that stuff into 3 meters!!!
So tiggy my visitor for the week is keeping an eagle on my layout!!

How long has it been since I've posted a blog?
2011 slipped by so quickly
With lots of new creations, the start of a little local crafts market , the loss of a dear dear friend and an amazing trip to see my grandmother for her 90th birthday. Total revamp of my fairy van omg time flew fast!!
2012 is said to have new beginnings and lots of change.
On a personal note we are hoping to hear this year from the state government when they will "acquire" the farm( a little like the movie "the castle".) Then we can all get on with our lives.
Rest assured though no matter what happens I shall still be creating my paper bag albums- the fairy van? Well we'll just have to wait and see. Tough economic market and a potential move away to another farm- who knows?!!
No matter what the magic will always be with me

Custom made flirty purse- navy and cream- with vintage boots

cover has a beautiful glimmer misted pearl sheen flower and a pretty button

Inside the flap is a metal embellishment on top of a hand embossed panel- all slightly distressed to match the vintage boot feel

Another metal charm with silk ribbon on the inside page cover

I have left lots of room for writing a personal note and a glass of bubbly in the corner- cream has been slightly distressed too!

3 bags folded in half to make 6 pages- thats 12 double sides in total! well actually a bit more as I have cheated some extra space with flaps :-)

I have handmade layered flowers with a little sparkle- this cover one has a baby pink butterfly in its center!

The photo matt is embossed with subtle swirls of glitter added.
I have also made this page flap so it swings out for extra room.
The charms are solid metal silver

2 Custom made albums for Rochelle!

Ocean- angel and butterfly- oh what fun!

I hope i have captured the spirit of the sea with blues, silver and white. Tiny silver ocean charms are scattered throughout both books and I have used a swirl motif that reminds me of waves. Its a spiritual translation rather than papers of waves etc!!

Both books are similar but are different- not sure which is my favourite!

The surprise pink page was fun - with funky added charms- shoes and handbags :-)

I have added some uplifting quotes and affirmations throughout as well as a couple of hidden passages in the bags openings.

Photos as always havent done these justice- i do so you like them Rochelle!!??

shabby chic 50th birthday lunch bag album

The flower is handmade from matching coloured papers using tim holtz tattered flowers sizzix die- run through the big shot.

I have used my "chipboard technique" on the letters. versacolour inked then stamped, glittered , then charms pearls and a daisy rhinestone is embedded into glossy accents. When it was dry i also added a rub on over the top. I thought a handwritten note on the cream rose pnnel would make this a personal and touching detail, so I've left it blank

OMG websters papers and websters vellum- so much fun!
I've put the vellum over an embossed photo matt so that when a photo is placed there you can see through :-).
I cheated a bit more space- also adhering the matt on only 3 sides so it forms another pocket- with tags of course!
the extra tags at the front come from inside the bag pocket.

More handmade flowers a vellum flap AND another flap on the opposing page.

THE BOX

This special box is just approx 4.5inches long by 2.5wide and is nearly 2.5 inches deep. It has a hand made rose on the front and comes tied with a ribbon and tag.

I have decorated the box outside AND IN.

There is a blessing at the bottom inside the box, which reads

THE TAGS

There are a total of 9 tags, I have die cut in different sizes, with a mix of handmade flowers, metal charms, rubons, handstamped embossed words, glitter, rhinestones and pearls along with beautiful shabby chic vintage card stock.

Tags have areas to write your thoughts, memories and thankful words

My favourite part is the handmade flower on the front.

I have a girl and a boy album listed on ebay but thought a unisex one or two would fill that genre nicely.
I'm not a traditional bottle, nappy, pram and teddy bear scrapbooker, so when rediscovering these papers in my archive I got a little carried away.
So love this paper from DCWV
along with Bazzill
Twiddleybitz chipboard letters and an assortment of ribbons I bought from the craft fair I run every month- happy days
The cream one I wanted something really classic and classy to suit any type of photo's .
I used mostly bazzill cardstock here
embossed with cuttlebug embossing folders- the dots and pattern. there is a touch of gold foiled paper misc brand. The charms- once again from my craft fair- thanks girls!

Custom made “love” album

Butterflies and pink with lots of beautiful quotes and sayings.

This one was a tricky album to do.

With only a limited amount of the paper left I really had to be creative to make it look good.

I wasnt sure how the pink would go with the mariposa paper- But i surprised myself at how nice they matched.

Wish i had some more of that paper!!!

Anyway- loads of handmade flowers on the front as well as a “leonie” combo of charms.

I searched high and low for the quotes “love is friendship on fire” but i couldnt find it- it must of been a one off rub on i had. So i hope the word “love” will be ok??

I have embossed and distressed photo matts and handstamped butterflies throughout.

There are extra flaps with LOADS of room for photo’s.

And where you see ribbons your photo’s will easily slip underneath

6x6 paper bag album with 12 pages (well extra if you include the flaps!!)

2 shades of blue and white with LOTS of embossed textures.

Loads of handmade flowers soft and baby’y but not too girly i hope!!

The front has a large space for a photo along with a ribbon tied with a small silver metal dragonfly charm.

The inside pages has ribbons which you can easily slip your photo’s underneath as well as a couple of pockets for cards- nick knacks and memorabilia.

I am so pleased with the softness and classic simplicity of this album.

But you wouldnt believe the amount of work that goes into something looking so simple! LOL

I'm never content to be doing the same thing- must be the gemini in me!!
I have created a new line of "butterfly" paper bag albums using the last of my mariposa papers.
THE BUTTERFLY COLLECTION
Loads of luggage tags (my latest obsession) and fold out flaps.
Although I think my favourite thing is the photo matts.
Which I have turned into pockets by only adhering 3 sides- so you can slip the tags underneath- neat!!
My unmounted cling on "stamp it rubber stamps" set of butterfly stamps came in last week so they also got a work out too.
I have ordered some gorgeous stamps from Stempelglede and cant wait until they arrive!!
3-5 days is wayyyyy to long :-)
So here they are- the new editions to the family.
Seriously wanting to keep the turquoise one- it's a problem!!!

Dad album with the new Bo bunny 'timepiece' range of papers

The cuttle bug embossing folder cogs pattern looked a bit lost , so i distressed over the top with a bit of versa colour ink pad

Handmade owl from 2 crafty chipboard- layered in kaiser craft flowers and cute metal charms for eye's. All misted with a touch of glimmer mist

probably have gone a bit mad on the shabby chic look, but i love the mixtures of patterns and tones of colours.

I think the original pocket was from 7gypsies- these have come up a treat with a bit of distressing.

I have stained the wooden key embellishments brown & stamped a swirl which I've embossed with "bridal" pearl embossing powder- so it's a little bit pearly and sparkley.

the photo matt is embossed wi a swirl pattern and is slightly larger than a standard 6x4 inch photo, so there will be a second"border" when you stick down your photo!!

The photo can easily slip underneath the organza ribbon. Did you see the brown pearls around the time piece clock faces?? And the extra chocolate brown hand stamped background pattern??

White textured theme baby book- I have tied the organza ribbons here and throughout the book so you can pop a little photo underneath if you wish.
There is a gorgeous pearl and silver button and a silver hand charm at the bottom that says " handmade"!
I have distressed the artisan shape with a tiny bit of silver ink to distinguish it from the texture underneath.

The ribbons are not adhered so you can easily slip- photo's underneath. There is a little flap with room for journalling/ notes and the library pocket has a beautiful tag adorned with a silver and pearl button. Did you see the little silver people charm on the opposite page??

6x6 inches- 12 pages thats 3 bags folded half to form 6 pages + extra flaps and fold out pages!!!

I have added a hidden library pocket, 2 tag pockets and 2 envelopes for memorabilia.

Distressed and Old- Vintage TAG mad

Yup- fairy is still on a vintage roll.
I have actually worn out my versacolour "pinecone" ink pad distressing the sides if tags, pages and photo matts.
Usually I just tend to use the ink up but this one is actually worn off the base and there's no foam left!!!
These are just 2 of the culprits

GRATITUDE journal.

I have had the most fun creating some really unique embellishments on these.

I used various chipboard shaped pieces to match my theme.

then inked the base colour-

added a second little touch of a highlight colour,

then wiped a layer of pearl paint over or used a spray of glimmer mist.

Next stamping over a pattern in black.

Placed some rhinestones/pearls and used a really thick layer of glossy accent over the top.

The key in particular is one of my fav's.

I love how the pearl and glimmer mist trapped under the glossy shell look like "cats eye's" very 3d and spooky!!

Well once my camera batteries are charged i also have some new boxes to show you- along with some new altered wooden boxes with circle albums in!!!!!!!!

I cant believe a month has gone since i've last blogged!!
Fairies have been busy with craft market organizing, fairy markets, farm duties- calf rearing and airport submission fighting.
In between i have accumulated a few new items and product lines.

What’s on my work desk this Wednesday???.....

Apart from fixing a fence the giant steers broke yesterday bad boys! And feeding calves?.....

Hmm sorry can’t show you my Christmas stamp designs alterations- top secret!!

But i have a tray of fairy wishing stones (as you do!!)

There's an order which the lady simply disappeared and didnt pay me for :-(

My first time this has ever happened – so now i am taking upfront non refundable payments.

So the wedding tags will now be in a special Sweet love paper bag album, think i will work on a special box to go with it and throw in the 3d altered canvas i did as a free gift.

Apart form the that- the studio is still relatively clean, though you should see the room out the back!LOL!

Getting so much stuff together for the swap meet- hoping it will be a fairy fantastic day.

Fairy van- why i cant stop playing...

Yes it's official-
I love my new stock and layout so much the poor van has never had so many cleans and re-organizing in it's whole life!
Ever since i changed my product lines I just cant seem to stay out of the van- a happy happy place to be!
It gets opened about once a week for a sneak peek and a little change around.

It's true- spring cleaning IS SCARY!!!
when you look at your "stash" and see just how much you have it's a little over awing.
It's even worse when you want to move it on and have to price and organize it all into a semblance of order!!!!
So this was my WOYWW- in between castrating calves and moving cows from paddock to paddock- i have been pricing stock and getting ready for my craft swap meet that I'm hosting.
I still have a couple of stalls left if any one in south west western Australia is interested???

New babies havent been on a cow before- fun times teaching them to suck!!

HOW cute are my new babies- 3 for Daisy May- and 3 for Hurdie Gertie

Hurdy gertie is SO not impressed with having to get used to new calves- this is her "first" multisuckle group- she's not happy about the newbies in the shed!

Ahh back to normality- notice anything different??? a bit more space and less cluttered?? YES i am cleaning out all my stuff and hosting a craft swap meet!!

This is a tiny amount of what i have to get rid of- all brand new straight from the manufacturer

Have swapped around my scraps and papers- got rid of ones that I'm "over"

So happy to have moved on a lot of my punches to a good friend who will get heaps of use from them.

It's been a girly pink week!
Which in contrast with this weeks farm work is kinda weird.
Lots of assisted births, 2 dead calves and a prolapsed cow, a couple of snakes....
hmm maybe a little touch of pink and lace is good therapy for the fairy lady?LOL!

me- have been fairy busy making new stock for ebay- as fast as i've been listing items they have been finding new homes.
It's so satisfying to sell the things that i love and find them hard to let go
but the upside is that my pieces tend to gravitate to special people who love them even more than i do!!

Affirmation Tag box- latest ebay offering

This special box I have hand created with 13 affirmation tags. Every single piece is original handmade and one of a kind.

I have had a fascination with boxes since watching the movie “House of the spirits”. Where Winona Ryder opens her mothers amazing box full of treasures, keepsakes and memories. I love that thought of having all your memories and precious things hidden away to give to someone special. It is something that has stayed with me and moved into my creative heart!

This is my latest offering a beautiful box is full of symbolic stamped images, quotes and embellishments.

I tend to use a lot of butterflies and dragonflies in my spiritual creations. As butterflies symbolize energy of love and joy! In ancient mythology the butterfly stands for wisdom and everlasting knowledge. Butterflies are also transient and symbolize change!

My special box is 12cm long by 6cm wide and 6cm deep. I have decorated it outside AND IN. There is a gorgeous heart charm on the front with a silver feather and small heart hanging from it.

All the tags are hand stamped and the quotes are heat embossed, distressed and beautifully finished with ribbons, fibers and braid.

The 13 tags range from

10x6cm to 4.5x4cm.

It comes tied with a soft purple organza and satin ribbon.

Purple butterfly memories and moments album or journal.

I have been thinking about a few friends who are near and dear to me, fighting as well as recovering from cancer.

As i was making this album i was thinking that it would be a perfect gift for someone who is going through such a recovery.

I chose butterflies as they symbolize the energy of love and joy!I wanted something uplifting but also soothing.I use butterflies a lot in my spiritual work..

In ancient mythology the butterfly stands for wisdom and everlasting knowledge. Butterflies are also transient and symbolize change.Some cultures consider then good luck!!

And the colour purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of spiritual fulfillment. It is the colour of peace, symbolizes magic and mystery but is also energizing!

So i hope this album finds the perfect home
